OUTFIT 310112 'Glitter and gold'

This is the second top I bought at the thrift store last week. It's an oversized blouse with LOADS of glitters and I abolustely had to buy it. Yep, this is the blouse I told about in my last outfit post. And yes, the second shadow in the first picture is my mom's. We noticed it when we got home, haha!

Fashionweek: The green fashion competition

I had such a great time yesterdaynight. Lisanne and I went to the green fashion competition. This was my very first fashionshow so I was quite nervous, but luckily I didn't have to go on my own. The Green Fashion Competition is a competition for entrepreneurs in the fashion industry, for individuals (and teams) with a vision of what the future of fashion should look like. The aim of the competition is to find the talented entrepreneurs in the industry who aim to create a fashion business while sustaining biodiversity. 
It was an amazing show and there were so many great designers. It was even more special because Máxima was there as well, she sat right in front of us! 
It was a great experience and I can't wait until I finally live in Amsterdam because then I'd be able to visit even more shows.

OUTFIT 250112 'Vintage dots'

This week is the test week and it's going pretty well so far. German was defenitely the hardest one so far. I've spent so much time studying so I thought it'd be good idea to give myself a small present. There's a charity shop really close to my school and all clothes were 50% off so I bought this really cute yellow sweater for only 2 euro's, and a glittery sheer blouse for 2 euro's which I'm (probably) going to wear to Amsterdam Fashionweek this friday.

DIY: Cutoff gilet

Yesterday I decided to do something that I should have done a lot earlier: Cleaning my closet. I'm known for being someone who can't throw away things easily and that's why my closet was close to exploding. So I decided to put some things on marktplaats (a dutch website which is about the same as eBay).
But while emptying my closet I found a denim dress from Primark I bought a couple of months ago. It was way too big for me so I decided to make a gilet of it and this is the result. I'm really happy with it because I didn't have one of these yet, and the original dress was on sale and costed about 2 euro's(!)

OUTFIT 200112 'I hate them all'

I'm sick and very bored. Studying is driving me crazy. But I'm sooo excited for my very first visit to fashionweek next friday! I'm going to the Green fashion competition and Elsien Gringhuis' show. I'd love to know if any of you will be going to that show. I'm going by myself because I don't know anyone that has an invite as well, but that doesn't make it less exciting.

In love with: Sexy sweaters

I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys are familiar with the tumblr-page 'sexy sweaters'. All of those sweaters are seriously so amazing. They have sweaters with Harry Potter characters, skulls, tigers, graffiti and they even have designed a sweater with Nicki Minaj on it! But unfortunately the sweaters aren't real, it are just simple designs. If they actually did have a webshop on which you could buy these gorgeous babies I'd already have about 10 of them. But, good news: They do want to start selling the sweaters in the future so I'll defenitely look forward to that! So for now I'm just going to show you some great, funny and beautiful designs, and I hope you're as enthusiastic about them as I am!

OUTFIT 140112 'Simple denim'

Test week is coming up so I'll already apologize for the lack of posts in the upcoming weeks. My plans for this saturday aren't that much fun, unfortunately. I have loads of summaries that I still have to write. But my friend is coming over this afternoon and we're going to make coloured cupcakes, so that's something I look forward to. I won't spend the night partying but I'm going to go babysitting instead because I'm broke. Those shopping sprees I had the last couple of weeks weren't such a good idea after all..

New in: Romwe jewellery

I've been looking for a cool earcuff for ages and I finally found the perfect one on ROMWE. And it's not really something for me to just buy one when at the same time you can buy so much more pretty jewelry. The day after I ordered these items I realized this cuff would be a little unpractical because of my glasses but luckily it was okay.
The holographic brooch is so amazing! I didn't even realize that those eyes opened and closed when I saw it on the website.

OUTFIT 090112 'Sorry about your wall'

I'm a huge fan of graffiti. My laptop even has a map which is full of pictures with graffiti and I'd love to have some on the wall of my bedroom. Luckily, my brother spends a lot of his time at the skate park and it's just unbelievable how much amazing pieces people made there. Last week I joined him, not to go skating but to take some pictures. My favorite is defenitely this cat because the colours are so bright and I love how the artist made the outlines really thick. Unfortunately I'm a horrible drawer, I've tried to make some designs but they turned out really bad...

OUTFIT 060112 'Rocking the leather jacket'

It seems as if winter is not itself this year. No snow, no frozen pavement. Well, it's okay for me as I'm more a person for spring and summer. This morning I woke up and saw a bright sky with sun so I immediately grabbed my camera and went to take some outfitshots.
I totally forgot to tell you guys about my hair. We went to the hairdresser a couple of days ago because I wanted to dye my hair a bit lighter, unfortunately that would take a really long time because of my big hair.. So I decided to just dye some highlights. At first I wasn't really satisfied but I am now, thank goodness!

Life: 'I'm a mess'

I really can't believe the holiday is almost over, it went by so fast! To be honest I'm absolutely not ready to go to school yet so I'll spend the last couple of days at home not doing anything useful, because that's what I'm really good at. Well, I could so some cleaning up because Christmas is over and our house is still full of decorations...

About a month ago I went to a concert with friends and saw Rimer London for the first time. If you're into weird music you should defenitely listen to one of her songs. It's so hard to explain what kind of music this is, so I guess you should label it yourself.

OUTFIT 020112 'I only sleep in Pink'

Time to post the first outfit of the year! I couldn't resist wearing my new bright blazer again but this time combined in a more casual way. Kitsch is kind of my second name, that's not really surprising I guess after seeing this brooch. When I have my own house I already know it's going to be full of kitsch furniture and full of kitties, pink and gold. To create some contrast I wore this outfit with my beloved dr martens. Hope you like it!


(On the first picture it looks like my belly is kind of hanging over my jeans but it's just the top that I wear underneath this leopard top, haha!)
